Evangelical Lutheran Church - WELS - SALINA, KANSAS
The "Christ-Light" program is St. Mark's main effort to teach children and youth all of God's Word after baptism, as our Lord Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19). Since parents have the primary responsibility and influence in their children's lives (Ephesians 6:4), "Christ-Light" is designed to assist and work hand in hand with parents. "For you have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother's womb. I will ever praise you... Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds." (Psalm 71:5,6,17)
St. Mark's Youth Group will meet monthly during the school year for Bible study and project planning. Our goal is to plan and complete one project in each of the following areas each year: Worship, Service, Evangelism, and Recreation.
